$200 burning a hole in your pocket and desperate for a new DROID to call your own? As promised, Verizon has kicked off sales of the Motorola DROID 2, ahead of the QWERTY Android 2.2 smartphone’s in-store debut tomorrow.
Your money – and commitment to a two-year agreement – gets you a 3.7-inch display, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED flash, WiFi, EVDO Rev.A and GPS. There’s also Flash 10.1 support, speech-to-text and 8GB of internal storage, with Motorola adding an 8GB microSD to the box. Verizon will also offer a limited edition Star Wars R2D2-themed version of the DROID 2, available in September.
