It seems that the Google Pixel and Pixel XL’s arrival is happening soon. That is based on numerous sightings and leaked information being reported left and right. We’re betting on an October launch since Nexus phones are usually announced around this time. We’re sure that HTC is manufacturing the two smartphones we earlier called as the Sailfish and Marlin. We’ve been saying the supposed Nexus phones are actually the new Pixel devices about to join the Pixel C.
A gallery of images popped up over the weekend, showing us the future Nexus replacements. These are said to be CAD files of the upcoming smartphones. Interestingly, these are also the same images that were sighted on ebay.ca of an ‘HTC Nexus Marlin M1 (HTC Pixel XL)’. The unit is listed for sale with a US $129.00 price tag. More than 10 are “available” for sale and are described to “work well”.

These new renders that emerged show us the front panel of the Pixel and Pixel XL. They look similar but they differ in display size–5-inch and 5.5-inch display. Looking at the images, we can say they have rounded edges, two-tone back, and a fingerprint sensor at the rear cam.
So far, we know the new Nexus-Pixel smartphones will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, minimum of 32GB onboard storage, microSD card slot, Full HD display, 4GB or 6GB RAM, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing cam, and a 2770mAh or 3450mAh battery. There’s also the USB-port plus 3.5mm jack and dual stereo speakers.

Over at Reddit, a certain Starks shared that the two Pixels have passed through the Global Certification Forum (GCF). This means the pair will be ready with two models each. Most of the bands tested by GCF are those not tested by the FCC. That’s not a problem because passing GCF means the phones are ready for the international market. Noted on the page is a list containing the Pixel and Pixel XL for both North America and the International arena.

Nexus 5x and 6p were launched the last week September, it then took around month to ship. The question is would it be better to wait? There are more powerful phones about to come out Google is the last to release their phone so it’s basically lapped by the iPhone 7 and will be behind the SG7 One plus 4, and other brands that will be released in another 3-6 months. This phones are expected to be between 6-8gb ram and have 830SDs
If Google went with the 821SD& 540 and 6gbram with 32 storage base for the 5in and 5.5in that would be attractive but knowing them I doubt it. The only difference between the two models should be the screen size and the battery life. Although both should be decent already.
Please tell me I read this correctly?
A microSD card slot in a Google phone?
I think my prayers were answered!
A good phone, cheap, that’s what we need! No more of this $400-600 for garbage!
I’m 99% sure that these are not going to be called Pixel phones considering the Pixel brand is for Google made hardware…
