The great thing about living in this digital age is that you will never run out of choices, whether you’re talking about devices, apps, carriers, etc. Whatever fits your needs or wants, there is always a smartphone out there for you. If you don’t feel like going for the more well-known brands for some reason or another, you have a lot to fall back on. One of them is Alcatel, and it’s bringing you two of their new ONETOUCH devices to prepaid carrier Boost Mobile.
The Alcatel ONETOUCH Conquest may be a good device to bring with you when you go to the beach this summer. It has an IP67 rating which means it can protect itself from a dust or dirt and immersion in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The 5-inch 720p HD touchscreen display has Dragontrail Glass, so it is a bit sturdier than others in its range, but will give you decent images as well. It runs on a quad-core 1.2GHz processor and comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Meanwhile, the more budget-friendly Alcatel ONETOUCH Elevate might do it for you if you’re just looking for a decent, functional low-range device. It is slightly smaller with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display and runs on just a 1.1GHz quad-core processor but already has Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Both smartphones have 5MP main cameras and 2MP “selfie” front-facing ones, so don’t expect a lot in this aspect. You can get either of these devices with Boost Mobile’s $30 Data Boost Up plan, which gives you unlimited talk and text, plus 2GB of high-speed data per month.
