Fans of the radio music streaming app TuneIn Radio should be glad to hear that the application has been updated. The new updates promise to make it easier for users to discover new music. One of the new features of the app is called TuneIn Live and is accessed through a new tab on the home page of the app.
By tapping the new live tab users can view album art as titles representing music playing on each of the respective stations on the tab. The default display setting for this tab offers stations for country, hip-hop, jazz, news, rock, and sport genres. The user can customize this tab with other genres than those default offerings.
The user interface has also changed offering a more intuitive design promising a better experience for discovering new music. The update is available in both the free and Pro versions of the app. The Pro version of the app costs $4.99.
The app supports Android 2.1 and higher. It appears that both versions of the app have the same functionality. The app descriptions spell out no differences between the two, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the free version has ads that the Pro version lacks.
