NVIDIA has begun pushing the latest update for the Tegra Note 7 tablet. This particular update is coming from NVIDIA, however it is heading to all of the different branded models. According to NVIDIA, those with a Tegra Note 7 from EVGA, ADVENT, Gigabyte, Shenzhen Homecare Technology, ZOTAC and XOLO should be on the lookout for the update notification. That said, this update brings Android 4.3 along with stylus improvements and Always-On HDR (AOHDR).
The stylus portion of the update includes a few bits. To begin with, NVIDIA has said they improved the overall response. But more specifically here, they also added support for left-handed users and added a DirectStylus help option in the setting menu. There is also a removal and insert notification in the notification bar and users can now capture the the notification bar with a full-screen capture.
Shifting over to the Always-On HDR. NVIDIA provided a sample image, which shows what the camera was capable of doing both with, and without the AOHDR setting. Specifics here suggest this means the camera on the tablet will be able to provide “more lifelike images across a range of lighting conditions.” The camera now also has video stabilization which should help the user to capture shake-free video.
Last in terms of the camera, there was also mention of some “tuning and optimizations” in an effort to “improve camera performance under certain lighting conditions.” The update also added the ability to transfer app data from the internal storage to a microSD memory card and took care of some security and bug fixes.
