T-Mobile has just released the Garmifone today. This is the second Android device they have released this month. There isn’t much buzz surrounding this device but it is a good choice if you need a device with great navigation features.
Garminfone is the first Android-powered smartphone and Garmin® GPS navigation device in one device.
• Voice-guided and on-screen directions
• Real-time traffic, weather and gas prices
• Thousands of Android apps
• Personal and work e-mail, IM, and text messaging
This can be yours for $199.99 after a $50 rebate with a new two-year contract. If you don’t want a contract, you can pick it up for $449.99. The Garmifone runs Android 1.6 with a slightly custom UI. It also has a 3MP camera and comes with a car dock and charger. Anybody plan on picking this up today?
