T-Mobile really wants to prove that it is the Un-Carrier that never settles. There is no stopping this company to make more Un-carrier moves because they believe that customers come first and they always deserve the best. The network will not run out of ideas on how to improve the services and offers and a representative even said if they couldn’t think of new things, they would have to build new ones like this future upgrade that could be even better than VoLTE.
Known this early as Enhanced Voice Services, EVS is a new voice technology that promises four things: voice call reliability even in areas with with signal, higher-fidelity calls, wider availability whether connected on LTE or WiFi, and an enhanced voice experience even if the other person is not on an HD network. These benefits are expected to be delivered as soon as the patent-pending deployment has been approved.
Few models will reap the early benefits including the new LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7, and S7 edge. These models are EVS-capable but the S7 variants will have to get the latest software update. More phones will be ready for EVS before year 2016 ends.
Voice over LTE (VoLTE) was only the beginning. The EVS technology is even better, faster, and clearer once it’s fully ready. While T-Mobile is already pushing for an upgrade, other mobile carriers have just begun with VoLTE. In this area, T-Mobile is certainly the more advanced network.
