With all the problems AT&T is facing right now with its Nexus 6 phones, it seems timely that T-Mobile is taking time to talk in social media platforms about just how different it is treating its stock of Nexus 6 from other carriers. No branding on the boxes, no branding on the unit itself – a couple of things that T-Mobile did to show just how willing they were for users to have an almost pristine version of the Nexus 6.


Des Smith, Senior Product Manager for the Nexus 6 at T-Mobile USA had a number of things to say about the Nexus 6 T-Mobile was putting out. “No corporate logo, no bloatware, no crap you don’t want on the Nexus 6,” he said. This is in comparison to the almost obscene way some carriers milk the devices they have on their catalogs for brand awareness.

Smith says that T-Mobile has taken the time to listen to their customers, “giving them what they want, not sticking a stupid corporate logo and a bunch of crap software I know you guys don’t want on your Nexus device.” T-Mobile is promising an almost pristine version of the Nexus 6, with the Lollipop flavor customers want.

To balance it out, some customers have indeed reacted that the lack of the 64GB model from T-Mobile has made them think twice. But we do hope T-Mo continues with this trend – it could be a real game-changer for them and the way carriers treat the software on their devices.
