A software update has begun rolling out for the T-Mobile branded HTC One this morning. The update has only a few items listed under the improvements category however this looks like one that all users will want to grab as soon as possible. The update will leave your handset at Android 4.1.2, but it will bring the software version to 1.27.531.11.
Those few items include software stability and processor enhancements as well as LTE and reception improvements. T-Mobile has said the update measures in at 247MB in size and they have it available as an over-the-air update and also available direct from the HTC website.
As per standard with T-Mobile software updates they are recommending that you have at least 50 percent battery life before beginning the process. Your device also cannot be rooted. Otherwise, just for those who like to keep track, the software version (before the update) should be 1.27.531.8.
This update has already begun rolling out and will be delivered in full by August 9th. With that in mind, those using an HTC One with T-Mobile now have two options — sit back and wait for the update notification to arrive or take the proactive approach and seek it out. With that in mind, while an update is always nice — especially when it is bringing these types of improvements — it is sometimes wise to have some patience and not be the first to update.
