T-Mobile Galaxy S5 users have an update on the way. This is a smaller update, however it does appear to bring one key fix dealing with SMS and MMS messaging. The changelog mentions how this update should fix the intermittent failure of incoming SMS and MMS messages.
That wraps things up this time around. Just a one-line changelog. Users will remain on Android 4.4.2 and the handset will be bumped to software version G900TUVU1ANE5. Those carrying a T-Mobile branded Galaxy S5 can sit back and wait for the notification to arrive and then simply follow the prompts.
Details coming from T-Mobile show the update is already underway and will run through June 10th. Basically, this means it could be a few weeks before the notification arrives on your device. Having said that, you can go looking for the update by navigating to Settings -> General -> About device -> Software update.
Alternatively, the update is also available through Kies. This process isn’t necessarily difficult, however it is the most complicated of the three options. Again, those include waiting for the notification, checking manually, or updating using Kies. Those looking to go with Kies can find step-by-step directions using the source link sitting below.
