T-Mobile is taking it’s 4G expansion very seriously. Being one of the first carriers to launch an HSPA+ Network in the US and already having 2 devices that support the network, they are considered to be in the lead of the 4G race. Today they have launched the network in 8 more markets.
The new markets are as follows:
- Detroit, Michigan
- Grand Junction, Colorado
- Harlingen, Texas
- Lafayette, Indiana
- South Bend, Indiana
- Montgomery, Alabama
- Roanoke-Lynchburg, Virginia
- Youngstown, Ohio
Currently the T-Mobile network sees real world “4G” speeds around 5-12Mbps. However, next year the carrier plans to dual-carrier HSPA+ which will boast speeds of 42Mbps.
