Although we’ve heard that the Galaxy S was headed to every major carrier in the US, it seems T-Mobile might be the first out the gate with their version. It has just passed through the FCC and it could (highly unlikely) make it way to Magenta in time for the free phone promotion this Saturday.
The Galaxy S T959 passed through the FCC with 1700MHz AWS connectivity. We all know that this is a T-Mobile specific 3G spectrum. The Galaxy S may be Samsung’s best Android offering, it features a 1 GHZ processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, 5MP autofocus camera with HD video recording. It runs Android 2.1 with TouchWiz 3.0 and has a 4” Super AMOLED screen. If this does make its way into T-Mobile’s inventory, Saturday will be a huge day for them.
