If 2004 seems like a million years ago (well, a decade to be precise), then it means it’s time to introduce a whole new generation to a game that was extremely popular back then. Syberia 2 is the sequel to, well, of course Syberia (which also came to Android recently) and is now available for the first time for Android smartphones and tablets.
The game follows the ongoing saga of New York lawyer Kate Walker who had the unenviable task of searching for the eccentric Hans Volberg, who was presumed dead. But obviously, if you played the last game, you found out he wasn’t really dead. In the sequel, Kate teams up with Hans to look for the home of the fabled Syberian mammoths. This was actually the mission that got Hans lost in the snowy wastelands of Europe.
This sequel is just as compelling as the first chapter, with great 3D visuals, engaging dialogue, top-notch animation and of course addictive and challenging gameplay. You also get to meet intriguing characters along the way, as you travel with Kate, Hans and his creation, the automaton Oscar. Aside from actually playing the game, you also get to enjoy “movie sequences” that are integrated into the gameplay and storyline.
You can buy Syberia 2 from the Google Play Store for $4.99. If you haven’t played Syberia yet, it’s on sale for just $1.99 until March 29. Gamers are also pretty excited for the upcoming Syberia 3 which is expected to come out later this year and on multiple gaming platforms.
