The team behind SwiftKey has done it again. The last one went out of beta phase back in May but the developers just announced additional adaptive layouts for nine more Indian languages. This may not matter to most SwiftKey users but those in India will appreciate that they are now allowed easier typing on the Android app for their native languages such as Manipuri, Oriya, Bengali, Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, Konkani, Telugu, and Assamese.
SwiftKey 5.3.2 version brings support for all languages using Tamil, Devanagari, and Gujarati scripts. This means a lot to the Indians because the redesigned layouts allow easier and more intuitive typing on the mobile phone. Doing so is much clearer now because the keyboard app learns and adapts to a user.
Any Hindi language speaker will find it more convenient to type on his own language because the layouts now feature “contextually relevant word predictions” plus access to special characters often used in the language which can be found on the secondary layout.
With this app update, prediction and correction quality of SwiftKey are drastically improved. Aside from native Indian words and symbols, SwiftKey also included emoji prediction for the new languages specifically Telugu, Kannada, Assamese, Oriya, Sinhala, Urdu, Bengali, and Punjabi. And as with any other app updates, this release brings more stability enhancements, performance improvements, and several bug fixes. SwiftKey is made more responsive, faster, and with fewer crashes now.
