What did people do with their vacation, birthday, event pictures, before there was Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc? Well first of all, pictures were still printed back then, and then put in physical photo albums, or for those who are creative and industrious enough, they’d make collage or scrapbooks. Now of course it’s all about uploading on your favorite social media and sharing with friends and loved ones, and even strangers. But what if you could combine those two? A new app called Storehouse wants to do that for you.
What it does basically is to automatically create for you a page with your chosen photos and videos from your camera roll. But even though the pages are nice enough, most people would still want to customize it, like they would in a scrapbook. You can customize the layout, rearrange the images already laid out in the page, and add your text and annotation as well. You can add up to 50 photos and videos in one page, which may be a bit too many, unless you’re going for a mosaic thing.
The page you created or the app creates for you will remain for your eyes only, until you decide how you want to share it and who you want to share it to. You can send a link to people through SMS or email. You can embed the page on your blog or website. You can share them on various social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Or you can invite your chosen friend to a space on the app so they can share their photos too. And you can give them access and permission to save the photos on their devices too.
You can download Storehouse from the Google Play Store for free. There doesn’t seem to be any in-app purchases available or needed, so it makes it even more awesome.
