StickMount is a rather popular app, which we recommend that you should try (for real). The app allows you to mount USB stick storage to mostly Nexus devices such as the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7, and the Nexus 10. The app has just been updated by Chainfire, one of the more popular XDA developers, for some Android 5.0 goodness and some fixes.
Off the bat we will tell you that the app needs root access, so if you’re iffy on trying to root your device, this might not be for you. But if not, then StickMount is a great workaround for working with data that resides on your USB flash drives.
The update brings Material Design aesthetics to the app, so that it blends well in an Android Lollipop environment. But more importantly, Chainfire has brought some improvements to the way SELinux (Security-Enhanced Linux), which has reportedly been causing issues for app users since Android 4.3.
