The app is called On the Spot Deposits. Like a lot of other banks and PayPal are now offering, the app lets you take images of the front, back of your checks, and deposit the check with the images alone. The app will work for deposits up to $10,000 per day.
The app and the deposit service are free and while there is a maximum daily amount for deposits, you can scan unlimited checks. The money can be deposited into checking, savings, and Money Market accounts using the app. The Android device must be running Android 1.5 or higher.
