Google is constantly trying to make life easier for us by integrating a lot of things while you’re still on their search page. One of the newest things they’ve added is the ability to start ordering food, if it’s available, when you search for your favorite restaurant, while still on the search page. This is pretty good news for people who like to order in, and it even gives you a choice as to where to order from.

When you’re searching for a restaurant on Google, it will now show you also results if you can order it also online and have it delivered to your doorstep. You’ll see a “place your order” button. Click on it and then choose the delivery service where you’d like to order it from. It joins previously added information like address, contact information, operating hours, link to the menu, and even customer reviews and Zagat ratings, all without leaving the results page.

Currently, there are only six delivery services available in the results page: Seamless. Grubhub, Eat24, Delivery.com, BeyondMenu, MyPizza.com. But Google said they will be adding more soon. Some of these services like Seamless and Grub Hub are start-up businesses, so this will be a big boon to them if users decide to user their service to order from their favorite restaurant.

This feature is still limited to the US region. If the services aren’t available in your area, the “place your order” option will not appear on the search results page. Let’s hope though that this will be available soon in localized markets.
