We have some updates to Square Enix and DeNA’s lovechild – that is, Final Fantasy: Records Keeper. We talked about the game at length, basically it’s a rehash of all your favorite Final Fantasy moments, together with the Final Fantasy characters that you’ve grown to love (because nostalgia is great like that). Square Enix has just added some new content to the game, including a way for you to earn free in-game currency.

The game, if you haven’t played it, focuses on your character working out why past Final Fantasy historical landmarks (recorded in paintings) are fading. You can literally jump into paintings and relive these great gaming moments. Gameplay elements include the very familiar Active Time Battle (ATB) system, hero abilities, magic, and limit breaks.

The update for the game includes a way to go beyond the “level cap” with the “Break Level Cap” ability. And in celebration of the game breaking the 1 million downloads mark, players who log into the game in the next five days will receive free Mythril, which is the premium in-game currency – 1 Mythril per day, a total of 5 Mythril for the whole week.

If you’re looking for a Final Fantasy nostalgia attack, then this game is for you. Pick up the game at the download link below – free to play with IAPs.
