The brand new HTC EVO as we now know is being set at 30 fps in both 2 and 3d models. The slow-down is noticeable in a lot of games even when some people said it didn’t matter. But anyways most people are happy that a fix-up is on the way.
XDA-Developers Android Hackers believe they have a solution after researching this problem. Certain users who used a custom kernel says the 30 fps is gone and the performance on the touchscreen has improved. HTC said they will show the kernel source soon, so hacking the phone could still be possible. At the least we know the EVO can run at 60 fps.
