If money is not an issue and you’re looking for a new big-screen TV that will rock your world, Sony’s new Z series 4K TVs will probably do the job. The Japanese consumer electronics company is taking these new TVs to a new level with 4K HDR, ultra-contrast, realistic and accurate color, deeper blacks, brighter lights and more vibrant colors – basically just a great TV.

The Z Series comes with Sony’s Backlight Master Drive technology, a tech that was introduced at CES this year. This basically means that the backlight boosting technology improves brightness and contrast to go with the detail of 4K HDR. Under the hood is Sony’s 4K Processor X1 Extreme that incorporates objected-based HDR remaster, dual database processing and Super Bit Mapping 4K HDR to your video content to a ridiculous level.

Of course, Android TV runs as the operating system of choice. Google’s premier TV platform provides users with Google Play access to install all of their preferred apps, games and services. The new TVs also support Android TV’s voice search feature as well as Google Cast. Pretty smart, eh?

And as you might have expect, Sony’s new Z Series 4K TVs are anything but cheap. The 64.5 and 74.5-inch models cost USD$6,999 and USD$9,999 respectively, enough to make a considerable dent in your finances. But if this is not an issue, both models are available for pre-order over Amazon, Best Buy and other retailers, and will start shipping later this summer. There is no price yet for the 100-inch XBR100Z9D Z Series TV model, but expect that to cost an equally eye-popping amount.

    • LOL, this TV reaches BTU.2020 color gamut which is 40% more color representation than OLED with a 99.9% accuracy. LG OLED can only reach 550 nits of brightness while this Z series TV can reach 1000 nits of brightness? You think LG OLED compares to this? HAHAHA
