It looks like some additional details have come available regarding one of Sony’s 2013 Xperia flagship handsets. Keeping in mind though, these details have yet to be confirmed by Sony and the handset is still going by nothing more than the codename. That warning out of the way, the handset is the Sony Yuga and based on the details we have been seeing — this looks like it may be an interesting device.

The latest on this handset is calling for a 5-inch full HD display, that part we have heard before. The new addition is that the handset will have Dragontrail glass panels. Yup, for better or worse, it looks like Sony will be carrying on the new tradition of glass paneled smartphones. For those worrying about the potential for breaking, while that remains, the Dragontrail glass is similar to that of Gorilla glass.

Some of the other bits include the handset having a 3,000 mAh battery, 3GB of RAM and a Samsung Exynos 5-series processor, which is believed to be a quad-core 5440. The Yuga is also expected to be water and dust-resistant and sporting a 16 megapixel camera on the back.

And now for an interesting bit — the internal storage. The latest rumors are suggesting the Yuga will launch with 128GB of internal storage. Of course, as mentioned earlier, these details are still firmly in the rumor category which means they can and likely will change with time. Finally, it was previously suggested that Sony would be launching the Yuga towards the later parts of 2013, possibly in October.
