Evan Blass aka @evleaks definitely knows how to excite the mobile community. Most of the leaks released by him usually turn out to be true. Since the IFA 2016 is happening soon, we’re expecting more information from this Master Leakster. We’re expecting over a dozen of new models will be shown off including a few from Sony.
We just reviewed the Sony Xperia XA and now we’re interested about this rumored Xperia X Compact. Evleaks recently shared a photo of an Xperia X Compact. Sony is known for coming up with Compact variants of its phones and looks like it’s about to be introduced in the market.
We didn’t really think Sony would still continue on with the Compact versions since the Z line was discontinued but the recent leak shows us this Sony Xperia X Compact. No information has been listed yet or unearthed from somewhere but we’re guessing it will have at least a 4.6-inch screen.
Interestingly, this looks like the Xperia XR phone leaked earlier this month which confirmed a USB Type C port. If this is one and the same, then the Compact, which is supposedly a mini Xperia phone, will be powerful with the Snapdragon 820 and 4K video recording.
The same name was spotted on Sony Mobile’s Czech website beside the name ‘Xperia XZ’. Now the latter is a totally a different model name but it could also be just the Xperia XR.
Well, our questions will be answered next week as Sony has just sent an invitation to a press conference on September 1, Thursday in Berlin, Germany. We’ll let you know soon what new phone and other gadgets will be announced by the company.
