Before we get too excited with the Xperia Z6, here’s one mid-range smartphone that you want to consider. If you’re not yet interested on a premium phone, the Xperia M5 could be the most powerful yet among the affordable mid-rangers in the market today. We’ve seen this a few months back but it’s only now that Sony has made the phone available in other markets in Europe.
Starting next month of February, the smartphone will be available in the Netherlands and Poland. We still have no information on pricing and exact date of availability but at least we have confirmation that the Xperia M5 is coming to Europe especially in most key markets in the region.
To review, the Xperia M5 features a 5.0-inch screen with 1080p IPS display, 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor, IMG Rogue G6200 GPU, 16GB built-in storage, 3GB RAM, and a 2600mAh battery. As expected, this smartphone will have the advantage of Sony’s imaging technology. There’s a 21.5MP Exmor RS sensor with Phase detection AF (PDAF) and a 0.25-second Hybrid Autofocus, 13MP Exmor RS front-facing camera, autofocus, and Full HD video recording capability.
As with the most recent Xperia phones, the M5 is IP65/IP68 certifed which means it is dust and water resistant. No need to worry if you’re bringing it on your next beach trip because it’s ready to withstand the sun and get wet.
