A Sony support page was put up and then very quickly taken down but not before a few pictures got snapped of their new Sony S1 and S2 Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablets. Yup, first off it appears they will be running on the latest Android 3.2 Honeycomb as well as having some tweaks and changes to the user interface.
First off just like we mentioned the leaked screenshots show it will not come with 3.0 or 3.1 but in fact the latest Android 3.2 Honeycomb, they’ve made changes to the user interface sort of similar to Samsung, they have a new keyboard and more.
The stock keyboard has a Honeycomb look and feel but is closer to a thumb keyboard and has the number pad on display at the same time. I do like the layout and color differences for the new keyboard though.
Above you can see the new keyboard, custom widgets on the home screen, a new music player app with some fancy new features and a neat design layout and the app launcher drawer looks much different and they’ve added the white background. For more information on these tablets here is our Sony S1 & S2 Portal to see previous coverage, pictures, and videos. So who likes the changes Sony has made?
