The long list of wearables will have two new entries from Sony: the Smartband Talk and the Smartwatch 3. The company isn’t new to this game so it’s almost ready to roll out the new wrist gadgets that will be accompanied by new Android apps.
Instead of just one, Sony is releasing five new companion apps for the SmartBand Talk. The activity tracker will directly compete with the other health and fitness wristbands available in the market today.
First companion app is the SmartBand Talk app that connects the smartphone and the tracker. It determines which workout activities are logged. It’s not an exclusive app for but the app is optimized for Xperia devices.
The Smart Control Extension app can detect bettery level of your phone. It can also switch audio modes and activate the speaker remotely. It allows the SmartBand Talk feature to toggle your smartphone’s cellular radio or WiFi.
There’s also the Smart Badge Extension that lets the user manage a profile card. Edit your name, add any information you want others to know, and upload a photo or illustration. This will be you own profile card.
World Clock Smart Extension obviously shows time anywhere in the world.
And lastly, the Voice Note Smart Extension lets the user record voice notes on the SmartBand Talk. The voice notes can then be saved on your Evernote account or simple stored on the wearable device.
