Sony Ericsson’s diminutive “Shakira” Android smartphone has apparently been christened the XPERIA X8, with the phone slotting in-between the XPERIA X10 and the X10 mini in terms of size. According to the Unofficial SE Blog‘s newly unearthed images, the XPERIA X8 will lack the LED flash of its siblings, and have the same UI as the X10 mini complete with corner-situated shortcut controls.
However full specifications are currently unknown. There’s obviously 3G and Sony Ericsson’s “Timescape” UI, but otherwise we’re left guessing. Still, if the X10 mini looks simply too small for you – and with a 2.55-inch display we don’t blame you – then the X8 may fill the niche.
