Whenever you enter a whole new world, whether it’s through a closet or a train platform, is always a challenge. Well, we assume it will be, based on the books we’ve read and the movies we’ve seen. But what if you enter a world where they have a totally difficult language from your own? Then it’s doubly challenging. Those are the two things you have to overcome when playing this unique, new puzzle game called Missing Translation, now available for Android devices.
The game is indeed unique in its look and gameplay. Employing black and white pixel art, not only would you have to solve the more than 100 puzzles available, you would also have to do it while trying to interpret what the characters and its world are saying, since they’re using a totally different language. In order to get back to the character’s own world, he or she (you can choose from either a male or female player) would need to decipher that language and solve the puzzles as well.
It’s not just the puzzles that should challenge and intrigue you. You have a whole weird town, full of villagers that may or may not be out to help you. But again, since there is a translation missing somewhere, you’d have to learn how to interact with them. The black and white pixel art plus the original soundtrack created specifically for this game makes for an interesting experience.
You can download Missing Translation from the Google Play Store for just $2.76. That’s all in already, no need for any in-app purchase.
