While we’re all still waiting for Android 6.0 Marshmallow to arrive on our devices (well, if our OEM told us that we will be included), those who joined in the beta program for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge devices are now enjoying the fruits, or rather the sweets, of their joining. Some screenshots from the two devices running on the beta have been released and it shows how the operating system will look on the two smartphones.

On the surface, there are significant changes including the status bar and quick toggles menu are now completely white, the power menu has been redesigned as well, and some of the app icons have also been changed. Getting themes to match your favorite colors is also easier now as you can download several ones based on your color palette. You’ll also get a new app drawer now that scrolls vertically instead of horizontally, which seems to make it faster of course.

As for the features, the most talked about one is Google Now On Tap which allows you to access the info database of Google Now from whichever app you’re using. The locked screen also now has a shortcut to voice commands, instead of the call dialer that was there before. And for photography experts, the Pro mode can now adjust the shutter speed so you can take better pictures.

So until Marshmallow comes to your device, you’d probably have to be satisfied with looking at these pictures from the beta program of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. There’s still no word on when the final build will arrive on the devices.
