I haven’t gotten on the bandwagon yet but Snapchat is another popular messaging app that lets you send videos and photos to a select group of people. It’s for a more targeted market of those who want to share “Snaps” in a more personal way. The app was recently updated to allow a different way to snap a selfie: press and hold your face to activate the Lenses, select an effect at the bottom, and just follow the instructions you see on-screen.
The Replay feature in Additional Services was also improved. If before, Snapchat only providese one Replay per Snapchatter. This allows some special moments to replay a ‘snap’ but just one is not enough. The Snapchat team is offering more replays per user but for a fee. Three extra Replays cost $0.99. However, you can only use Replay once. This move brings every Snapchat user to replay more videos. Once will never be enough so why not allow more and see how popular a post is.
Snapchat is a fun and easy mobile app that offers that special and exclusive feeling because an photo or image would be displayed for a while and often disappear from the screen. Stories and snaps missing can be annoying for some but that’s how the app was developed in mind, post an image on social media but it won’t be available forever.
