Virtual reality will be bigger this year. We’ve been saying that a number of times already since last year and we believe that as more companies like Samsung, Oculus, and Google are working to advance the relatively young industry, the VR tech will soon be a standard and not just a novel idea. For one, this SMARTvr pocket viewer can be another player in this new “virtual realm”, giving the mobile industry more options for a VR headset.
You can use any Android or iOS phone with the SMARTvr pocket viewer. That fact alone makes it more attractive and marketable since most VR headsets available in the market today are restricted and exclusive to some of the latest Android phones only. VR viewers are closer to reality than what you think now.
This isn’t the first time Dodocase is entering the VR arena. Since 2014, it has already delivered half a million VR viewers. As an alternative to the Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear VR, and the Oculus Rift, this new SmartVR seems to be more practical to use and more affordable. The designers said that a pair is ideal to use and enjoy watching special video games, awards shows, live contents, educational courses and trips, movie trailers, and virtual tours among others. The content possibilities are actually endless. You won’t run out of VR content to enjoy.
Fund goal is only $25,500 but the team has already raised over $14,000. That’s from almost 400 backers donating a minimum of $28. It’s not surprising that the tier will be popular even before the deadline next month because it already includes one DODOcase SMARTvr Headset.

This is a crowdfunded project, and as such may not deliver what its creators initially promise. Most crowdfunding sites, like Kickstarter and Indiegogo, have policies about what happens to your money if the project fails to deliver on its goals, but choosing to back a project is inevitably a risk. Android Community’s reporting on crowdfunded projects should in no way be seen as an endorsement, unless specifically stated, and we recommend closely examining the terms and conditions to understand your individual rights as a backer before making a pledge.
