The Skype app for Android has just been updated to bring more ways to communicate on Android Wear. The Skype 6.4 version enhances instant messaging experience not only from your smartphone or tablet but also from your wearable. Whether it’s an ASUS ZenWatch, LG Watch Urbane, Huawei Watch, or a Moto 360, you can take advantage of new ways to send messages to family and friends without having to bring out your phone.
You can set the smartwatch to show notifications when important contacts send you new messages. You can now also respond to messages directly from a wearable device by drawing and sending an emoji or choose a pre-set response to send. You can also view on your wrist who is calling your phone. Feel free to accept or reject incoming calls right from the smartwatch. You can use headphones, a Bluetooth speaker, or the built-in microphone to make a call on an Android Wear-powered device. You can also do other actions like decline calls, pause, switch to an incoming call, hang up, or mute conversations.
Most of these features are for Android Wear but the updated Skype version brings Skype Mojis to mobile. These are video emotions or short clips of famous TV shows and movies you can send to perfectly express how you feel. You see, words and emoticons are not enough to say your message–you need Mojis.
