Emojis are becoming more popular than ever. You can even see some of the characters in several instant messaging apps. Skype has its own set of emoticons but they’re not exactly as diverse as the emojis . More are being added to the latter while Skype’s has yet to be updated.
Chats can be personalized and made more fun with these icons. But to add more character to messaging, Skype is bringing short clips from your favorite TV shows and movies. Because a simple smile, kiss, batting those eyelashes, or doing a disco dance is not enough to express how you feel, a short clip can be the best way to tell the other person how you feel at the moment. These short clips are called…don’t be surprised—Mojis. Skype could have called them differently and not very close to the Emojis but they’re really called as Mojis.
Mojis can do the talking for you. You may be shy but a Moji can tell the person on the other end how your really feel because you know, sometimes words are not enough. To send one, choose a Moji from the set, tap on it to preview, and then drop in the chat window.
The Skype team has done an extensive research to include the most popular and iconic moments in movies and TV shows. Skype will soon partner with the likes of BBC, Disney Muppets, and Universal Studios to bring more Mojis to the messaging platform. Right now, Mojis from the following movies are available: The Muppets, Jurassic Park, Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect, and Despicable Me.
These Mojis are available on the latest versions of Skype for Android, Windows, Mac, and iOS. Update your Skype and see these cute Mojis on the emoticon tab.
