Shuttle Music Player

SimpleCity, a developer also known as timusus over on Reddit, excitedly announced that he recently updated the Shuttle Music Player Android app to v1.5.0. As with the latest Android app updates, this version has received major Material Design elements, numerous bug fixes, MusixMatch support and Google Analytics removed, added lyrics & comment editing, a brand new icon, and of course, major improvements on performance. With this update, you can now also upgrade the free version via IAP according to developer.

The Shuttle Music Player is one app that the developer didn’t expect to be this big. He said he started with only five users and after more than two years, the number has grown to over two million downloads. SimpleCity is pretty anxious about this update that it has undergone 15 beta iterations. This means the new version is more than ready (hopefully).

Shuttle Music Player with Material Design now features a 6-band equalizer with bass boost, automatic artwork downloading, gapless playback, and many theme options so you can personalize the app and the widgets. On the tag editor portion, comment and lyric editing has been added. The app also allows Last.fm scrobbling and now features a new ‘suggested’ view. If you’re observant, you’ll notice the new design of the following: donate button, FAQ link, e-mail me, version info on the menu, and support.

A lot of users say that the Shuttle Music Player has the best user interface in the Play Store today among similar music player apps. With this update, the developer let go of Google Analytics and MusixMatch support. There’s also an embedded-artwork scanner now built-in into the app.

App actually comes in two versions: paid and free. Both have the same features but the $1.75 premium version includes Chromecast support, Tag editing on KitKat, folder browsing, and more theme options.
