Shoot your way out of a bad situation in Flats, now on Android

Just because something is colorful and looks cheery doesn’t mean it’s a happy game or it’s a game just for kids. Case in point is a new game on Android called Flats, named as such because of the flat artwork. It may be flat but it is full of colors. It may be full of colors, but make no mistake, it is bloody and deadly. You need to shoot yourself out of situations in this first player shooter game.

There are two major modes available in the game: single player and multi-player. The single player is pretty easy, at least in terms of instructions. You just have a swarm of enemies coming up on you, and all you have to do is keep on shooting and running and hiding. You will eventually die of course, but the object is to keep alive as long as possible and get points in the process.

The multiplayer mode has five different types of games that you can play: deathmatch, team deathmatch, territories, capture the flag, and blow up the base. The names of those game types are pretty self-explanatory, so just pick your poison. You can just swipe on your device screen to switch to different modes anytime you want to, even in the middle of an intense game.

You can download Flats from the Google Play Store for free. There are in-app purchases available so be careful with your app permission settings if other people will borrow your smartphone or tablet.
