Shazam update brings faster recognition, more info, easier sharing

A long, long time ago, when you heard a song on the radio or worse, in a public place, it was hard to find out what the title was, unless your radio had a talkative DJ or you could memorize the lyrics and ask your friends about it. When Internet search became a thing, it became easier, but still challenging. But then apps like Shazam came along, and all our problems were solved (well, almost). An update to the app now brings faster song recognition, as well as getting more information about the song or artist.

Because of Shazam’s Research and Development team, they have now introduced new technology that will make the app faster in recognizing the song that’s currently playing at a coffee shop or on the bus. The update also makes sure that the app is “more accurate than ever.” And if you want to know more about that particular song or the artist behind it, the search function on the app is also now more robust.

Once you’ve found the artist page on the app, you can listen to their top tracks, watch their music videos, follow the artist if you like their other stuff, and yes, you can even find out what their own discoveries are. There are currently over 600 verified artists on Shazam, with over two billion followers among them. If you want to get yourself verified, you just need to follow a few steps on www.shazam.com/verify.

The Shazam update also now has a better sharing experience so that they can easily share with their friends or with the whole world their latest discoveries. The update has now rolled out to users, so better check if you are already updated.
