Sometimes, even simple games like Simon Says has to evolve to fit the mobile and digital culture. While not exactly a version of the famous game, the mechanics are basically the same in Don’t Screw Up!, a new game available on Android devices. The difference is that “Simon” here is more cruel. And if you do screw up, he/it will not let you forget it. The good news is that your tasks are as simple as tapping and sliding. Well, it is simple at first.

So basically, your goal is to get as high of a score as possible. And you’ll only get that if you follow the instructions the game will give you, like “double tap”, “count to ten then tap again”, “drag your finger to the right”, etc. Sounds pretty simple right? Well, at times it is that simple. But also, there is the pressure to do it right, and as the title says, to not screw up. The minute you screw up, and of course eventually you will, heaps of insults will then be poured unto you. “You are proof that God has a sense of humor,” is just one of them.

Even the welcome screen itself tries to psych you out already. “This is Don’t Screw Up. Follow my instructions and don’t make a mistake like your parents did by having you,” it says. But if you’re not easily intimidated by an automated bot and if you like increasingly challenging games, then you’d probably spend a bit of time trying not to screw up here.

You can download Don’t Screw Up! from the Google Play Store for free. If you want the ad-free experience, you just have to make a $1.99 in-app purchase.
