With the release of Samsung’s new phablets, the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge Plus, we can also expect that fast on its heels would be charging accessories. And since one of the highlights of these new devices is their fast charging capability, the Korean OEM has announced their new Fast Charging Wireless Pad. And while it’s still not officially available in the market, you can now start pre-ordering it in preparation for your future new smartphone.
The Fast Charge feature of this charging pad will only be compatible with the two new phablets. But you can still charge the other Qi-enabled devices, but only with the standard charging speeds. Also, sometimes, the device may need an additional wireless charging cover, and this is sold separately. The pad will power your Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 edge Plus 1.4x faster than the regular charging, particularly when you use the Fast Charge wall charger which is included in the kit.
Using Qi Inductive Charging Technology, this pad is “always at the ready” and as soon as you set your phablet on the pad, preferably in the middle for optimal performance, it will then give you the power you need. If your phone is not properly aligned, then the built-in LED indicator light will alert you to it. If your device is fully charged, including the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, a green LED light will appear.
The Fast Charging Wireless Pad is now available for pre-order and will cost you $69.99 and you can choose from the white or black color. It looks like the pad is already on back order, so you can reserve yours as soon as you’ve decided you want/need one. The new phablets will be available in the US market starting August 21.
