While we’ve all been abuzz about the official announcement of the Galaxy S6 edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5, apparently Samsung has one more ace up their sleeve. Well, that is if a tablet could fit up their sleeve. A teaser for the “Unpacked” event happening this week shows that the OEM may be announcing not just 2 but actually 3 devices and the 3rd one might just be a 7-inch tablet or something to that effect.
In the teaser released yesterday, you can see the silhouette of three devices stacked on top of each other. We can determine that the top one is the Galaxy S6 edge Plus, the slightly larger iteration of the current Galaxy S6 edge, making it more of a phablet than a smartphone. The middle device in the stack is the Galaxy Note 5, which, if the rumors and leaks are true, will be more like the flagship Galaxy S6 rather than its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 4. But of course it will have an S Pen, as all of the Note phablets have.
Now the mystery third device will most likely be a 7-inch tablet, basing on the size and also if they want to take on the size of the iPad Mini. There was speculation that it might have an S-Pen, but since the teaser doesn’t have a stylus popping out, unlike the Note 5, it probably will not have one. But it may also not be a tablet. Possibly, it may be part of their “secret TV-controlling project” or even a game console, who knows?
Well, it’s just a few days until the Unpacked event, so by that time we’ll know. We’ll also find out if all the things we’ve been talking about the Galaxy S6 edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5 are true.
