When the 2016 Samsung Galaxy A series was first announced last December, people were saying that the specs of the four devices, the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, and the Galaxy A9, were among the best for a non-flagship line-up, at least hardware-wise. Now rumors are coming out that the OEM is working on a Galaxy A9 Pro version and if you liked the original Galaxy A9, then this may be something to look forward to.
Model number SM-A9100 (Galaxy A9 is SM-A9000) is the supposed number the Galaxy A9 Pro will carry, although whether that is the final name of the product is still up in the air. Well, actually a lot of the details are still up in the air, but what sources are saying is that this variant will be catered to the Chinese market and released there of course. Now whether this will also be released in other markets and regions, that isn’t part of the rumors going around.
Based on previous Pro versions of devices, we can of course expect the rumored device to be better than its original version. That may involve having a higher display than the Galaxy A9’s 6-inch FullHD AMOLED display. Or it can also be that it may carry more internal storage than the current 32GB (expandable with a microSD card). Or it may also be carrying the Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, unlike the Galaxy A9’s Lollipop software.
Whatever the improvement may be, fans of the Galaxy A series who live in China or have access to the Chinese market will probably look forward to seeing what else Samsung can bring to the supposedly Galaxy A9 Pro version.
