Either they miscalculated on the price range of this tablet or an 18.4-inch tablet isn’t selling like hotcakes as they expected. Either way, Samsung has once again brought down the price of their (oversized) huge tablet and you will now be able to get it for just $449 if you buy it through Amazon, Best Buy and B&H Photo. This is $50 lower than its last SRP, and $150 down from the original price when it was first launched last year.
While technically it is a tablet, and a huge one at that, Samsung says that it is more of a “movable display” that you can touch and move wherever you want. Well, some may not see much difference there, but those who have actually bought it says they use it more for watching movies and TV shows, and particularly if you want to share the viewing experience with a small group of people. Yes we know you have a TV for that purpose, but you can’t very well move your mounted LCD TV around right?
Specs wise, of course you expect a lot from such a massive entertainment and media gadget. It has an 18.4” display with 1080×1920 pixels and runs on an Octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 with an Exynos 7580 Octa chipset. It has 2GB RAM and an internal storage of either 32GB or 64GB. Camera-wise, well you probably wouldn’t use this huge of a tablet to take pictures so it’s stuck with a lowly 2.1MP shooter.
If you’re buying the Samsung Galaxy View through Amazon, the discount will show when your device is added to the cart. We’re not sure if this price will get any lower, so if you’re thinking of getting this movable display, then you should do so now when it’s at $449.
