If you’re one of those people who carry an extremely thick wallet or who even has a special wallet just for their membership and loyalty cards for various brands, stores, services, then you know that sooner or later, someone will actually come up with a way to ease your burden. Samsung Pay is probably one of the first to offer a solution for you. The OEM announced that the mobile payment gateway will now give you easy and direct access to all of your cards, even when your cards aren’t with you.
All the points you collect and the rewards you go for will now be stored in just one app on your supported Samsung Galaxy smartphone. So even if you forgot your card at home or you’re too lazy to look for it in your bottomless pit of a bag, you will still be able to access your membership and your loyalty cards with just a few taps on your device.
All you have to do is upload and store your information on your Samsung Pay account for your merchant membership and loyalty cards, whether it’s a gym membership, a grocery store points card, or whatever card it is you use to get those rewards, you will be able to access it. Open the app, choose the card you want to use, hold up your phone to the merchant’s scanner, and boom, points/rewards collected.
Obviously, the card needs to have a barcode system, so if it doesn’t, then you won’t be able to store and use it. And of course, you need to have a Samsung smartphone, and one that supports Samsung Pay as well. Let’s hope that they expand support to more Galaxy devices so that more users can benefit from this and just leave their gazillion cards at home.
