Can you believe it’s been a year since Samsung launched its own mobile payment platform? The folks over there probably are very much aware of how long it’s been as the pressure to compete with the likes of Apple Pay and Android Pay is probably causing them a few sleepless nights. One of the results of those striving to get ahead of the pack is the latest update to celebrate Samsung Pay‘s first anniversary: support for Coupons.com and the official announcement that you now can save your coupons, membership cards, etc on the cloud and restore it when you get a new device.

Quotient Technology, which is formerly Coupons.com is now integrated into Samsung Pay. Users can now search, save, and redeem coupons from the retailers that are connected to the app. You can also add membership and loyalty cards from the retailers within their network which includes drugstores, groceries, etc. The coupons are actually linked to a membership account so the savings from the coupons you add will be seen when you check out with Samsung Pay.

You will also now be able to save all your membership gift, and Samsung Rewards cards onto a cloud account and so whenever you would log out of your Samsung Pay account and then log in to it again on another device, you will still be able to sign in to those cards. They also say that 80% of all debit and credit cards in the US are already supported by the platform so that means over 500 banks and financial institutions can be used when transacting with merchants all over the country.

As part of their birthday celebration, they are giving away $100,000 worth of prizes. They are raffling off 365 units of the Gear S2 since the wearable now works with Samsung Pay. You have until September 28 to join the sweepstakes and you don’t even need to purchase anything. Just click on this link.
