Special editions of new Galaxy smartphones are nothing new. After the Gold Platinum version was announced by Verizon, ATT, and T-Mobile in the United States, a Winter Special Edition of the Galaxy Note 5 has been made available in South Korea. It comes in two colors: silver titanium and gold platinum. Obviously, this winter edition is released in time for the holidays. It may not be winter in some parts of the world but it is cold in Korea.
The special winter edition of the Galaxy Note 5 boasts of a 128GB storage. That’s a huge jump from the usual 32GB and 64GB variants. Aside from the colors, Samsung is also offering a Gear VR headset to those who will buy a Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy S6 edge+ before 2015 ends in the country.
Those who want to buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Winter Edition via SK Telecom and KT will be able to get the mobile device for about $846. That’s already the 999,900 KRW special price. No changes have been made on the specs except for the 128GB storage capacity.
It’s less than a week before Christmas so expect to hear more great deals and promos like this one. In its native South Korea, Samsung will be giving away free fast wireless charger to Note 5 buyers while a free Gear VR will also be given to Galaxy S6 and S6 edge+ buyers.
