I feel like it’s 2004 all over again and we’re looking at the Motorola RAZR, but we aren’t. Instead what you see below is the recently leaked and just announced Samsung flip phone by the name Hennessy, and it runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean while sporting a quad-core processor. I feel like Samsung is confused here, isn’t this 2013?
All jokes aside, meet the brand new Samsung flip phone, which isn’t to be confused with a similar looking Samsung Galaxy Folder. The Hennessy is quite the odd looking device and doesn’t go after the 5-inch and bigger 1080p display idea of late, and instead goes back to the future for something a little different. Yes, it has two screens.
The Samsung Hennessy rocks dual 3.3-inch 480×320 resolution touchscreen displays, and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. Presumably two cores for each screen, but that’s just a guess. As mentioned above it has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board, sadly no 4.2, and the usual TouchWiz changes are in tact.
I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like Samsung might of drank a bit too much Hennessy when creating this smartphone, but what do I know. It comes with a 10 digit pad for dialing and the usual other buttons on flip phones from yesteryear. It has a 5 megapixel camera on the rear, and hey, a 1,500 mAh battery which should hopefully keep it juiced up all day long. More pictures and details from Samsung can be found below. Interesting little device, isn’t it?
