So after an early launch in their home market of Korea, Samsung is finally rolling out the Samsung Gear S3 to global markets. You can expect this smartwatch to hit the shelves in UK, France, Germany, the US, Australia, Dubai and Singapore soon. Are you looking to upgrade your smartwatch to a standalone device? This might be the one you’re looking for.
The Samsung Gear S3 is powered by Samsung’s proprietary Tizen software. It carries pretty robust internal specs for a smartwatch as well. Your Super AMOLED display has “always on” capability, so you will always see the time there even if the display fades to black. You have a 1.0GHz dual core processor under the hood, with 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage as support.
The clincher, this smartwatch is LTE capable, so it will not need to be tethered to your smartphone for connectivity when out of wifi range. It has all the sensors you need to be a good health monitor, and all the apps for monitoring are already installed.
Lastly, this device is Samsung Pay capable, so you can do wireless payments straight from your wrist. Note that Samsung Pay is only available in the US, Australia, and Singapore. Pricing details are still under the wraps.
