Avid Samsung followers are only waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active to be announced. We’ve heard about the rugged variant a number of times already including the name being listed in a changelog of a Samsung app, a phone protective case, and all those details listed on GFXBench.
Evan Blass once again has unofficially announced the Galaxy S7 Active. Interestingly, this version doesn’t have that camo design so we’re hoping there will be changes or this is just one of the many designs to choose from. There’s not much information but like most mobile users, we’re hoping Samsung will bring the new smartphone in Europe or the Netherlands.
You won’t see any AT&T branding which means the model won’t be exclusive to those who just live in the United States. This could also mean launch in other key markets. We’re not really curious about this rugged smartphone because we know an Active variant will be out soon. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are already making waves and it’s about time a more rugged version enters the picture.
Based on previous reports, we know that Galaxy S7 Active (Samsung SM-G891A) will feature the following: 2.1Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad core chipset, Qualcomm Adreno 530, 32GB onboard storage, 4GB RAM, 12MP rear camera, 5MP selfie cam, and the usual sensors like accelerometer, GPS, proximity sensors, NFC, and gyroscope.
