Samsung has just announced a new addition to the Galaxy J Series for this year. First shown off in China last year, the Galaxy J3 is now available in India as an exclusive offering on Snapdeal. This new smartphone features an S Bike Mode designed for the busy bikers in India, allowing them to reject incoming calls with a recorded message saying that they are currently riding.
The Galaxy J3 is a special phone that targets the many riders in India. The S Bike Mode is a unique feature that notifies contacts that you are busy at the moment because you are travelling.
You can easily dismiss and ignore calls but some people can be annoying and won’t stop calling. With the pre-recorded message, you can inform the person that you cannot pick up the phone. An option to proceed with the call by pressing “1” is also provided for really urgent calls but it’s up to the person if he will abuse it or not.
Messages are in 14 Indian languages. Choose one that will be activated when you press the phone against the NFC tag on your helmet or fuel tank. The special tag will come with the Galaxy J3 (2016) and attach it anywhere accessible when you’re about to ride off into the sunset. Phone comes equipped with a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen, 1.2GHz quad-core chipset, 1.5GB RAM a, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 2,600mAh battery, and a built-in NFC.
The S Bike Mode frees the rider from any distraction. A notification won’t show up unless it’s urgent. It also features Motion Lock that knows if a rider has stopped completely before an urgent call can be answered. This means you cannot answer any call while on the road. That’s one cool feature we wish would come to cars soon.
Color options include white, black, and gold. Snapdeal is offering the smartphone for only Rs 8,990 which is about $135.
