Only in the world of Samsung is “6 > 6”. No, it’s not because people in the marketing department suddenly became bad at math but a new ad campaign from the OEM shows the Galaxy S6 edge being compared to another smartphone that also has the number 6. It is not surprising anymore that the target of their ridicule is once again their arch rival Apple, and this time around, it’s their iPhone 6 that bears the brunt of the attack.
The first of the two ads harps on the fact that with the Galaxy S6 edge, even the edges of your device have functions. It shows off some features like the fact that if any of your five assigned colors call, the edge will light up with the respective color. It will also show you news, sports, stocks, weather, and your messages, all without needing to pick up your phone. It then says that the iPhone 6’s edge does nothing except vibrate.
The second video looks at the Galaxy S6 edge’s wireless charging capability, which is one of the selling points of this smartphone, as well as the flagship Galaxy S6. The iPhone 6, when placed on the charging mat, again, does nothing obviously. The camera is also compared in this video, showing off the 120-degree wide-angle lens of the front-facing camera that will not cut-off people from your groufie (group selfie).

Samsung mocking Apple isn’t something new anymore, and once the initial novelty of that wore off, it seems that these kinds of ads weren’t that funny anymore. We think they can come up with more creative ways of showing off the features of their current products rather than attempting to make fun of their rival’s devices.
