Have you ever wanted to just directly print a photo or document from your phone without having to go through the cloud or cables or transferring files to your desktop? If you’re using a Samsung Galaxy device, then things are probably going to be much easier now. The Samsung Print Service has now been updated to include the Mopia Print Library, giving you easy access to more than 88 million printers (wait, there are that many?) for a more convenient way of printing whatever it is that needs printing.
Samsung is actually one of the founding members of the Morpia Alliance, and so it is just apt that their print library be added to the support for the printer. You will now be able to print photos, documents, web pages, and even boarding passes, coupons, and other content located or accessed through your phone. You now don’t need to search and download the drivers for each printer that you will be using when printing and instead just use the pre-installed system tool, no matter what printer it is you’ll be using.
You will be able to access core print features like “paper size, number of copies, orientation, page range, color mode and double-sided print capability.” If you already have the Print Service installed, you just update to the latest version and it will automatically support several Galaxy devices, particularly the Galaxy S4, S5, S6 and S7. Other devices that are running Android 4.4 KitKat and above would have to download the service from the Google Play Store.
You can also download the Samsung Mobile Print App so you can wirelessly print as well as copy, fax, and scan anything that needs to be accessed from your phone. If your phone and your Samsung printer are on the same network, it will automatically it so you can sync and print with just a few taps.
